The Sawyer County Snowmobile & ATV Alliance

Calling all Sawyer County snowmobile and ATV/UTV enthusiasts!

With several inquiring how to donate to their favorite riding destination in addition to the amount of December storm damage costs left we have set up this quick an easy way to donate!

There are always great costs that come with great trails, these costs come from a list of things such as loads of gravel to fix trails and add new, lumber to build bridges on trails and ramps onto lakes, fuel for trail equipment from chainsaws and pole saws to large/heavy grooming equipment and the wear and tear they endure. These are always mounting seasonal costs but the addition of the heavy and large snowstorm we received and the challenges that arose from that to get the trails safe, passable, and open the costs have mounted.

There is no emergency funding or storm damage funding offered from the state and the cleanup cost left from this storm has eaten up a huge portion of our funding far too early in the season/year. Many of you have expressed how you wish to assist in trail work but are unable for reasons and because you cannot you would like to make a monetary contribution, so we hope this is helpful in the ease of making such a donation. This sort of fundraiser will change as time goes by and trail needs change but for this particular request we are looking to recoup a portion of the great expenses (estimates point towards approximately $300,000) that were put into our storm cleanup. So, if you feel the desire to generously give to your favorite riding destination, no matter how small or large it is greatly appreciated! Donations by cash and check can also always be collected at your favorite trail businesses as well as checks mailed to Sawyer County Alliance PO Box 163 Hayward, WI 54843. Thank you!!!
