WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE

The Sawyer County Snowmobile & ATV Alliance

Calling all Sawyer County snowmobile and ATV/UTV enthusiasts!

With several inquiring how to donate to their favorite riding destination we have set up this quick an easy way to donate!

There are always great costs that come with great trails. These costs include loads of gravel to fix or to add new trails, lumber to build bridges on trails and ramps onto lakes, fuel for trail equipment from chainsaws and pole saws to large/heavy grooming equipment and the wear and tear they endure. There is no emergency funding or storm damage funding offered from the state so when big winter or summer storms hit the area, cleanup costs can eat up a huge portion of our funding. An example is the December 2022 storm that created expenses of approximately $300,000 that were put into our storm cleanup. Many who have been unable to assist with actual trail work have made monetary contributions which are always welcome!

So, if you feel the desire to generously give to your favorite riding destination, no matter how small or large it is greatly appreciated!

Donations by cash and check can also always be collected at your favorite trail businesses as well as checks mailed to:

PO Box 163

Thank you!!!

Friends of the Alliance

Friends of the Alliance is a fundraising group for the Sawyer County Snowmobile & ATV Alliance. Sawyer County is a large county with hundreds of miles of trails to maintain and groom. Continuous grooming is required to keep those trails ready for ATV and snowmobile enthusiasts To make a donation, send a check payable to “Sawyer County Alliance” to PO Box 163, Hayward, WI 54843..

A huge snow storm in December 2022 resulted in expensive repairs to trails and equipment and then the lack of snow last winter created another revenue loss. The Alliance depends on grooming snow trails to raise funds from the DNR which of course pays for necessary equipment, repairs and materials. (No snow = no trail grooming = no DNR reimbursement.)  Following a successful 2023 raffle that brought in more than $28,000, the Fundraising Committee decided to do it again this year to offset some of that lost revenue. In addition to 20 firearms valued at $13,000, another 20 prizes worth an additional $4,000 were given away for a total of 40 winners this year!

Thanks to the efforts of many local businesses and volunteers who sold tickets and everyone who bought tickets, the 2024 Sportsman’s Firearms Raffle brought in over $26,000. The raffle drawing was held on November 9, 2024 at Bucktail Lodge in Winter. Here are the lucky winners!
