Winter Huskies Snowmobile Club
The mission of the Winter Huskies snowmobile club is to help maintain a great trail system and to have a few “Fun” events each year for our members and the community. We are located in the Winter area which is in the eastern portion of Sawyer County.
We groom and maintain the Tuscobia trail from Couderay to Price County, Trail 6 in Ojibwa to the Flowage, Trail 9 from Couderay north, Trail 5 from Rusk County to Trap n Fish Lodge, as well as Trail 40 from the Tuscobia to Ashland County.

Winter Huskies serve a large area in Southeastern Sawyer County. We take care of grooming and maintaining the trails on the east part of the Chippewa Flowage, Couderay, Radisson, Ojibwa, Winter, and all the way to Rusk County on Trail 5. We need lots of volunteer members to cover this large area and we are always looking for new ideas in our club!
Besides trail work, we host three main events each year that members, old and new, can help with and even participate in:
- Dantzman Memorial Ride in January
- Big Boyz Toyz and Vintage Ride in February
- Radar Run in February
- Shandley Ride in March
Funds from these events are used to help maintain our trails and provide scholarships to local high school students.
