According to a recent Power Sports Living magazine poll as well as polls conducted by independent adventure travel agents have ranked northern Wisconsin and Sawyer County in particular the #1 destination for 3 years in a row.  The ranking took into consideration not only the nearly 1000 miles of trails but also the topography, beauty, and trail-side infrastructure such as resorts, motels, restaurants, gas, rental and repair places.

As one report stated:  the whole area has a positive powersports culture where cars are optional and ATVs and snowmobiles welcomed nearly everywhere.

Many people don’t know it but the hundreds and hundreds miles of ATV and snowmobile trails in Sawyer County are plotted out, groomed, signed, maintained entirely by volunteers.   These volunteers are members of the area ATV and snowmobile clubs who have created ” an Alliance”in order to cooperatively buy and share the needed equipment to keep our trails in great shape.
